We are Chad and Sabastian Garsnett. Together we operate Garsnett Beacon Candle Co., a home fragrance destination that started at the kitchen table, grew to in-person markets and sites like Etsy and now operates three storefronts with a team of employees, an e-commerce website. We also do extensive private label and wholesale in 100+ shops. All in less than 2 years!
Chad has always loved candles and the memories associated with activating your senses. He's a perfectionist when it comes to the craft. The formula, production and presentation all have to be right. He's the creative mind and nose behind our brand.
Sabastian's background consists of marketing, operations, e-commerce and retail management. He's the calculated risk-taker pushing the brand forward through innovative and strategic planning.

Our journey in candle making has been filled with highs and lows, trial and error, but that's what makes us the perfect mentors. We've been through it all, and we've come out stronger and wiser. Now, we want to pass on our knowledge to you, so you can skip the stumbling blocks and jump straight into building the candle business of your dreams.
How We Teach
We don't want this journey to feel like a formal classroom. Our teaching style is all about having a casual conversation, just like chatting with friends over a cup of coffee. We know that candle making is a world full of different opinions, and we respect that diversity. However, we're here to teach you our proven path to success.
History
February 2022 - Igniting the Beacon
In February 2022, we embarked on our candle-making journey by launching our brand, Garsnett Beacon Candle Co. With a vision and a passion for crafting exceptional candles, we set up our own website and began marketing to our friends and family, sharing the warm glow of our creations.
April 2022 - Shining in Boutiques
Just a few months later in April, our candles started to light up the shelves of local and statewide boutiques. We began wholesaling our candles to over 30 shops, spreading our aromatic creations far and wide, gaining recognition for our quality and craftsmanship.
June 2022 - Lighting Up Art Shows
By June 2022, we took our candles on the road, participating in arts and craft shows throughout the region. These events allowed us to connect with our customers in person, receive direct feedback, and forge lasting relationships with candle enthusiasts who fell in love with our products.
August 2022 - A Brick-and-Mortar Beginnings
In August 2022, we reached a milestone by opening our first brick and mortar shop. This marked a significant step forward, as we established a physical presence in our city, becoming a beloved destination for candle lovers and expanding our business even further.
In November 2023, we celebrated another major achievement by opening our second brick and mortar shop. We now have 3! This expansion underscored the growing success and popularity of Garsnett Beacon Candle Co., allowing us to brighten more communities with our exceptional candles.

Our dogs are our everything! Meet Maxx, our 13 year old Jack Russell and Miles, our 6 year old Golden Retriever.

We are both from Indiana and currently reside in Holland, Michigan, a coastal town on the western side of the state. In our free time we love traveling to St. Pete, Florida to relax and rejuvenate.
